The Organisations that have helped

As various individuals and organisations were approached with the concept of the project—the ‘buy in’ by so many was amazing. Without their help, the input of their skills and expertise, this project would not have had a chance of reaching its potential.

For example, the concept of the CD cover, all graphics of the CD itself and the posters was done by Compass Australia graphics department.

I would like to express my personal thanks, along with that of the beneficiary organizations, to each of those who have contributed.

Benchmark Mastering (Sydney) - Level 7 Studios at 301 Castlereagh Street is well known in the audio world. Reece worked his magic on the various tracks to provide a project that flowed smoothly from start to finish.

Diskbank (Perth and Sydney) & Troyhorse Australia (Sydney) - both companies generously agreed to produce a quantity of the 2 CD set— allowing initial sales and therefore the project to be self funding

Sozo Productions (Canberra) - arranged the domain name and provide website hosting for the projects website

Jacques Design & Marketing - amazing assistance in designing, developing and helping maintain the project website

Abe’s Audio— designing and producing the radio promo - if you need a radio ad or voice over do not go past one of Australia’s best

Printwarehouse - printing the posters and flyers for the project. This 20 year run family business is well worth checking out for all your printing needs

More information on each of these companies can be found on the project website.

I really hope some of the readers of this blog have the opportunity to contact and possibly utilise (on a commercial basis) the services of some of those who have helped (or at least get a quote) — it would be wonderful repayment for their kindness and involvement.

The Artists

An amazing collection of 27 artists (and their publishers) have waived royalties and donated tracks to this project. All were inspired to be involved because of the message and some in support of one of the beneficiary organisations.

Some have done something amazing:

· Tommy Emmanuel went into his studio in Nashville immediately on return from tour recorded this track and has given it exclusively to the project (so it will also be for sale as a download on iTunes shortly)

· Andy Court has given the project not only his song but also a DVD using the song to use (up on the website soon)

· Michelle Kay re-recorded her demo to ensure a quality product was given it to the project - this song will go to Compassion after the project time line (12 months) has expired.

So here is the alphabetical list of this amazing line up:
Alabaster Box Aliki
Andy James Court Angels are Architects
C3 Worship Carter and Carter
Colleen O'Connell Darlene Zschech
Eric Ossebaar Evan Shelton
James Morrison John Morrison & Jacki Cooper
Jubilation and Joy Yates Krystel Keller
Levi McGrath Lucas Parry
Matt Lucas Michael Paynter
Michelle Kay Mike Rayson
Original Liberty Sevem Mi Lord
Simeon Sons of Korah
Tommy Emmanuel Travis Collins
Troy Cassar-Daley

The CD starts with songs crying out for help; then come songs demanding we take a stand; these are followed by songs to those in need to stand strong; then come songs of hope and optimism if we stand together— these are the songs of the 2-CD set.

The Need to help the next generation is now vital!!!

The Message within the Project - To protect, nurture and develop our Youth &
make the world a better place for the next generation

Suicide among young people, homeless children, child abuse and neglect, out of control/anti-social, destructive behavior and lifestyles are increasing at an alarming rate! Just think:
· Suicide is the second most common cause of death among young men in the Western world (psychology.org.au)
· Self harm is the highest cause of hospital admissions for young girls 13 to 19
· 70% of males and 50% of females have viewed porn more than once by the age of 12 (Sauers survey)
· 4 young Australians die each week due to alcohol related injuries (ABS)

Our generation needs to start taking responsibility, make a stand and do something!!! If we don’t, who will? What is the legacy we are leaving our children and our children’s children? I personally don’t think we will be able to lay blame elsewhere if things spiral even further and we haven’t done or said anything — can we??????

That’s why getting the message out is so important.

All proceeds from the sale of the CD set goes to 3 organisations who work to make a difference.

COMPASSION AUSTRALIA - Advocating on behalf of children here and overseas, helping to arrange sponsorship of orphans and underprivileged children around the world, and so much more.

FATHER RILEY's YOUTH OFF THE STREETS - Picking up the pieces when the system fails them, Father Riley and his team help rebuild hope in lives and encourage young people to reach their potential in very practical ways.

The AUSTRALIAN CHRISTIAN LOBBY - working to promote the “best interests of the child” as the basis on which relevant legislation is considered— as well as strategically helping in areas of homelessness, poverty and others.

All deserving groups and needing assistance to continue their great work
